Qingdao Haozhonghao Woodworking Machinery

HOLZH and a veneer-focused manufacturing history

Qingdao Haozhonghao, trading as HOLZH, builds veneer machinery in Qingdao, Shandong. Its core range covers the steps of decorative veneer production: horizontal and vertical veneer slicers, veneer dryers and veneer guillotines. [1]

BB1228 horizontal veneer slicer

The HOLZH BB1228 is a horizontal veneer slicer for decorative veneer used in plywood, furniture and flooring. It takes a wood block up to 2600 × 1300 × 900 mm, has a 2000 mm working stroke and slices veneer from 0.2 to 3 mm thick, depending on the wood. Servo feeding advances the block, a clamping system holds it, and the knife and pressure bar separate automatically on the return stroke. The main motor is rated at 90 kW (DC). [2]

Company background

Around that it sells wide-belt sanders, panel cutting equipment and knife grinders for keeping slicer knives sharp. The company also sells, installs and repairs equipment, so a veneer mill can source both new machines and service from it.

HOLZH says it was formed by restructuring the former Qingdao woodworking machinery organisation and traces that manufacturing history back to 1958. The present company was registered more recently. The company names its vertical and horizontal veneer-slicing series and points to development steps in 2012 and 2019. It reports ISO 9001 certification and CE marking from TÜV Rheinland.

Equipment scope and production

HOLZH describes a veneer route from slicing to drying, shearing, measuring and bundling. A flitch is clamped and sliced into thin sheets on a slicer such as the BB1228, the wet sheets pass through a dryer, and a guillotine trims them into bundles of matching sheets for sale or for pressing onto panels.

Knife grinders belong to the same line: a slicer only cuts clean veneer with a sharp, correctly ground knife. Wide-belt sanders and panel cutting machines serve the panel side of a veneer business.

Service and showroom

The company runs an equipment showroom and offers sales, repairs, production-line planning and accessories. Some machines in a quote may therefore be HOLZH's own and others bought in. Ask which machines in your offer HOLZH manufactures and who installs them.

Project fit

HOLZH suits decorative veneer producers and plywood, furniture or flooring makers who slice their own face veneer. Start with the flitch size, species and veneer thickness you need, then decide how much of the downstream line to buy from the same supplier.

For rotary-cut veneer from logs, a spindle-less peeling lathe such as the Jinlun JLXQ260-50B does a different job. Once veneer is dry, it is trimmed on a veneer shear and pressed onto board in a hot press; both appear among the veneer machines listed here.

Prepare a useful enquiry

Give the species, flitch dimensions, target veneer thickness and the surface you need. Say whether the veneer goes for sale in bundles or straight to your own presses. State the daily volume and which downstream machines you already have.

Questions before a written offer

Which slicer fits my flitches?

HOLZH builds horizontal and vertical slicers in several sizes. Send your largest flitch dimensions and ask for the model that fits with margin.

Can HOLZH supply the whole veneer line?

The company describes slicing through bundling. Ask for a line layout naming each machine and its maker.

Who services the line?

HOLZH offers installation and repair. Ask who travels for commissioning and how spare knives and parts are supplied.

Confirm in writing before ordering
