Documented manufacturer: Qingdao Jilongchang Machinery Equipment

The Jilongchang MQJ410 is the longest hydraulic veneer shear in the MQJ series: shearing length 4100, shearing thickness 50, oil pump 4, feed motor 0.1, working pressure 10, 5180 × 1680 × 1600 overall and 3550 net weight. The source table prints no units.

Documented machine and specification

The Jilongchang MQJ410 is the longest hydraulic veneer shear in the MQJ series: shearing length 4100, shearing thickness 50, oil pump 4, feed motor 0.1, working pressure 10, 5180 × 1680 × 1600 overall and 3550 net weight. The source table prints no units. It suits veneer sheets up to about four metres; ask Jilongchang for a sheet with units and a returned sample stack cut at your target height.

What this machine is built to do

Jilongchang lists the MQJ410 as a hydraulic single-sheet and veneer shear, in one table with the MQJ160, MQJ260, MQJ310 and MQJ360. For the MQJ410 the values are: maximum shearing length 4100, maximum shearing thickness 50, oil pump power 4, feed motor power 0.1, maximum working pressure 10, overall dimensions 5180 × 1680 × 1600 and net weight 3550.

In the usual Chinese machine-sheet convention these figures read as millimetres for length, thickness and dimensions, kilowatts for power, megapascals for pressure and kilograms for weight. Ask Jilongchang to confirm the units on a dated sheet.

Choosing a length from the series

All five MQJ models share the same shearing thickness, pump power, feed motor power and working pressure; only length, dimensions and weight change. Choose by the longest veneer sheet you cut, and ask whether the longer machines give the same edge along their full length with the same pump and pressure.

Shearing thickness means stack height

On veneer shears, maximum shearing thickness normally means the height of the veneer stack clipped in one stroke. A 50 mm stack of 0.5 mm veneer is roughly a hundred sheets. Judge the cut at full height: the edge should come out straight, square and unsplit, ready for splicing without further jointing. Ask what stack height the company recommends for your species and sheet thickness to obtain a splice-ready edge. Sliced veneer from a horizontal slicer and peeled veneer from a rotary lathe behave differently in a stack, so test the kind you actually produce.

Feed, clamping and blade

The 0.1 feed motor positions the stack before each cut. Ask how positioning works, how accurate and repeatable it is, and whether lengths can be programmed. Ask for the clamp pressure, blade material and length, regrinding interval, and whether a spare blade comes with the machine.

Operator safety

A hydraulic guillotine needs effective guarding. Ask how hands are kept out of the blade zone, whether by two-hand control, light curtains or fixed guards, how the emergency stop works, and which safety standard the machine is built to for your market.

A sample cut on your veneer

Send stacks of your veneer at the height you intend to cut, and ask Jilongchang to clip and return them or show the test on video. Check straightness along the full length, squareness, splitting at the top and bottom of the stack, and whether the edges splice without further jointing. Clean edges matter again in the hot press, where an open joint shows through the finished face.

Your model-specific enquiry checklist

State the veneer species, sheet thickness, longest sheet, target stack height, daily volume and whether edges go straight to splicing. Ask for units on every value, clamp and blade details, positioning accuracy, safety arrangement and a sample cut.

Buyer questions

Do I need the 4100 model for 2500 mm veneer?

Choose the shortest model that takes your longest sheet with a comfortable margin. The MQJ260 and MQJ310 share the same shearing thickness and power.

Is 50 the thickness of a single veneer?

Normally it means the height of the stack; Jilongchang can confirm this on the sheet.

How do I check it before buying?

Send Jilongchang a stack of your veneer and have it clipped at your target height and returned.

Confirm in writing before ordering

  • Stack height for splice-ready edges on your veneer
  • Blade, clamp and positioning details
  • Guarding, emergency stop and applicable safety standard
  • Spare blades and hydraulic oil included
