CFC25 compact finger jointing machine

The Bohai CFC25 is a compact finger-jointing machine that forms the fingers, applies glue, presses the joint and cuts the lamella in one automatic sequence. It accepts timber at least 1300 mm long and 75 to 250 mm wide. The standard finger is 15 mm long, with a 20 mm finger as an option. It runs at three to four cycles per minute, uses a single-component PUR adhesive, draws 74 kW in total and measures 4100 × 3500 × 2640 mm overall. [2]

Company background

The compact CFC25 finger jointer combines finger forming, glue application, pressing and cutting in one machine, so short timber can be joined into long lamellas before they are laminated into beams or panels.

Bohai's about page introduces two companies side by side. Yantai Bohai Woodworking Machinery handles glulam, CLT and finger-jointing equipment. Bohai Weima (Yantai) Machinery handles shredders and briquetting machines. Their capital, history and output figures belong to different businesses, so keep them apart when you assess the supplier; this page covers the woodworking company.

Equipment scope and production

In a glulam or CLT plant, finger jointing comes early. Sawn boards are graded and defects cut out, the short pieces are finger-jointed into continuous lamellas, the lamellas are planed, and only then are they glued and pressed into beams or panels. Bohai offers machines across this route, with the CFC25 covering the joining step in a compact footprint.

The CFC25 forms the finger profile, applies a single-component PUR adhesive, presses the joint and cuts the lamella to length in an automatic sequence. It accepts timber from 1300 mm long and 75 to 250 mm wide, with a standard 15 mm finger and an optional 20 mm finger, at three to four cycles per minute.

Project fit

Bohai suits sawmills and timber processors starting finger-jointed lamella or small glulam production, and engineered-timber plants planning a full glulam or CLT line. A buyer who already has planing and pressing equipment can add the CFC25 as the joining step.

Structural timber has to be produced and tested to the standard of the market where it is sold. Plan who takes responsibility for joint testing and product approval alongside the machine purchase. Planing before and after jointing is done on machines such as the Donghe MB203D double-sided planer listed among our timber jointing and planing equipment.

Prepare a useful enquiry

Give the timber species, moisture content, cross-section range, shortest incoming length, finished lamella length and daily volume. State the market and standard the finished timber must meet, and the adhesive you plan to use.

Questions before a written offer

What thickness can the CFC25 take?

The CFC25 introduction and its specification table give different thickness limits. Ask Bohai for the limit of the variant it is offering.

What output will I get per shift?

Three to four cycles per minute is a machine rate. Ask Bohai to convert it to metres per shift using your incoming lengths and handling.

Who supports joint testing?

Ask what testing and documentation Bohai provides and what your own quality team must arrange.

Confirm in writing before ordering

  • Thickness limit for the offered CFC25 variant
  • Finger length and tooling in the price
  • Adhesive system and application conditions
  • Output in metres per shift on your timber
  • Line interfaces and who commissions them
