Finger jointing turns short, defect-free pieces of timber into long continuous lamellas. Interlocking fingers are milled into the board ends, glue is applied, and the ends are pressed together. The CFC25 puts all four steps into one compact machine, which saves floor space compared with a line of separate shapers, glue units and presses. It suits glulam, CLT and finger-jointed lamella production at small to medium volume.
MODEL SELECTION & PROCUREMENT
CFC25 compact finger jointing machine
Documented manufacturer: Yantai Bohai Woodworking Machinery
The Bohai CFC25 is a compact finger-jointing machine that forms the fingers, applies glue, presses the joint and cuts the lamella in one automatic sequence. It accepts timber at least 1300 mm long and 75 to 250 mm wide.
Documented machine and specification
The Bohai CFC25 is a compact finger-jointing machine that forms the fingers, applies glue, presses the joint and cuts the lamella in one automatic sequence. It accepts timber at least 1300 mm long and 75 to 250 mm wide. The standard finger is 15 mm long, with a 20 mm finger as an option. It runs at three to four cycles per minute, uses a single-component PUR adhesive, draws 74 kW in total and measures 4100 × 3500 × 2640 mm overall.

What the CFC25 is built to do
Timber size limits
Incoming pieces must be at least 1300 mm long and 75–250 mm wide. The machine's introduction and its table quote different thickness limits, so get the limit for your variant in writing before you plan stock sizes. Pieces shorter than 1300 mm need another route or a different machine.
Finger length and adhesive
The 15 mm standard finger and the optional 20 mm finger give different joint profiles. Longer fingers give more glue area; which one you need depends on the product standard you work to. Choose the profile with your quality team and name it in the order.
The CFC25 is set up for single-component PUR adhesive. PUR cures with moisture, so timber moisture content and room conditions matter. Get the adhesive maker's application data alongside the machine settings.
Cycle rate and output
Three to four cycles per minute is the machine's cycle rate. Metres per shift depends on your incoming piece length, how pieces are fed and how lamellas are taken away. Ask Bohai to calculate output with your real lengths.

| Topic | Published value | Ask for |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming length | 1300 mm minimum | Feed arrangement for short pieces |
| Width | 75–250 mm | Thickness limit for your variant |
| Finger | 15 mm; 20 mm optional | Tooling included |
| Adhesive | Single-component PUR | Glue unit, cleaning, cure conditions |
| Rate | 3–4 cycles/min | Metres per shift on your timber |

Before and after the jointer
Boards are normally graded, defect-cut and conditioned before jointing, then planed afterwards so the lamellas glue up flat in a press. A double-sided planer such as the Donghe MB203D handles that planing step. Yantai Bohai also builds complete glulam and CLT lines if you want one supplier for the whole route. The boards themselves come from a sawmill, and the timber saws listed here show the log band saws that start that chain.
A trial on your own timber
Send boards in your species, moisture and cross-section. Ask Bohai to joint them with the finger profile and adhesive you plan to use, then test the joints to your product standard.
