What the SR-RP1000A is built to do

Two sanding heads in sequence let one pass do two jobs: the first head removes stock and evens out thickness, the second refines the surface. That suits furniture parts, doors and panels up to 1000 mm wide that need calibrating and smoothing before coating. The 160 mm thickness capacity also covers thick solid-wood parts.

Width, thickness and length

Parts must be up to 1000 mm wide, 2–160 mm thick and at least 540 mm long. The 540 mm minimum length is the limit to watch: short drawer fronts or rails below that length need another machine or a carrier board. Send your shortest part when you ask for a quote.

Finetech's table also lists an SR-R1000A with different minimum length and thickness limits. Check that the quotation and data sheet say SR-RP1000A.

Heads, belts and safety devices

Belts are 1030 × 2200 mm, a little wider than the working width so they cover the full panel. Oscillation monitoring keeps each belt tracking side to side so it wears evenly and stays on the rollers. The anti-rebound device stops a part being thrown back toward the operator.

Which grits and head types give your finish depends on the material and the incoming surface; ask Finetech to state them for the sample run.

Compare with other sanders

Among the sanding machines listed here, the Shengwang 650 mm board sander is the narrower option, and the Ronghongxiang MSGR-R1900 heavy wide-belt sander takes panels up to 1900 mm wide. Choose by your widest panel and how many heads your finish needs. Curved and profiled parts need a different machine altogether, such as the Cuijia 910 × 100 sander for curved work.

A trial on your own panels

Send panels with your real incoming surface. Say whether the trial is to calibrate thickness or to produce a finish for coating. Ask Finetech to record head setup, grits and feed speed, and to measure thickness before and after at several points.

Buyer questions

Can it sand parts shorter than 540 mm?

The minimum length is 540 mm. Ask Finetech how it would handle any shorter parts.

What is the difference from the SR-R1000A?

The two models have different length and thickness limits. Compare both columns and order by the full code.

What do the two heads do?

Ask Finetech which head types it fits and the grits for your finish.
