The SMV8D sizes full sheets of melamine-faced board, MDF and plywood in a cabinet or furniture workshop. The scoring blade cuts a shallow groove in the underside face just ahead of the main blade, so laminated and veneered boards come off without chipped edges. Electric lifting lets the operator set blade height from the control panel when changing between thin panels and thicker stock.
It is a manually fed saw: the operator pushes the board on the sliding table past a fixed blade. That makes it a flexible machine for mixed work and short runs. For long runs of identical full sheets, a beam saw from the same maker is the usual next step.
